JFK was in Washington, D.C., and met with the winning photographers in the White House News Photographers Association Competition. Pictured left to right in the back row are Frank Cancellare, Thomas E. Shields, and James K.W. Atherton. In the front row on the most left is James Tames and second from right is Wallace McNamee. The others are unidentified.

At 1:23 pm JFK was again photographed in the Oval Office with US Ambassador to Denmark William McCormick Blair, Jf. and Catherine “Deeda” Gerlach.
