JFK, along with Jackie, took part in a ceremony awarding honorary citizenship to Winston Churchill. The award was accepted by
Churchill’s son Randolph in the Rose Garden in front of several hundred assembled guests and, including Attorney General Robert Kennedy.
JFK and Jackie both wore dark suits and came onto the steps next to the garden, where military musicians in scarlet tunics played.
