Dinner Party
The Kennedy’s hosted the first of what would be almost nightly informal dinner party upstairs in the White House private quarters. Guests included favorite Bill Walton, his date Mary Russell and Franklin Roosevelt, Jr. and his wife.
The mood was festive as the guests consumed ten pounds of caviar, turtle soup, filet mignon, and profiteroles all washed down by Dom Perignon champagne.
Afterwards, the party trouped downstairs to the White House movie theater and watched films clips of the inauguration two days earlier.
