JFK is in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to campaign in the mid-term elections. It is a rare sunny day for western Pennsylvania and he is riding in an open-top Lincoln. In the crowd is a fellow Navy veteran who was stationed at Vella LaVella where JFK put in during his PT tour.
The veteran and his son wave as JFK passes by. Kennedy gives a speech at City Hall where he reminesces about the first time he was in McKeesport, in 1947 to debate Richard Nixon on labor issues.
