Ambassador East

JFK traveled from Cleveland to Chicago, checking in at the Ambassador East Hotel before beginning preparation for what would be a campaign-altering debate the next evening. He was met the next day by his debate prep team of Ted Sorensen, Richard Goodwin, and Mike Feldman, who had spent Sunday holed up in the Knickerbocker Hotel, rifling through a foot locker filled with reference materials for Kennedy to master.
