JFK, who the day before had given the commencement address at the New England College of Pharmacy, was on the campus of Smith College for commencement day festivities. After attending a luncheon, he gave an address to the graduates and parents.

In the evening, he spoke at a dinner during the National Congress of the Polish American Congress
