At 11:15 am Kennedy had an appointment in room 9-B of the Senate Office Building to record highlights of his career to date. At 11:30 am he met with members of a student seminar.

At 12:45 pm he left to travel to Boston. Upon arrival he made Kennedy made his way to Galway County Hall where the former Harvard junior varsity football player awarded a championship trophy to a local football team.
