JFK was back in Washington, D.C. after appearing the day before on Meet The Press from New York. At 10 am he attended a House Committee meeting on the Adams Flood Control Project.

In the evening, he attended a black tie dinner as a guest of his father-in-law Hugh Auchincloss at the Association of of Stock Exchange Firms in the Presidential room at the Statler Hotel.

Kennedy also dropped in to a dinner attended by his aide Ted Reardon at the National Press Club Auditorium in honor of the” physically handicapped”
