JFK had a full day of senate activities, starting with lunch at 12:45 pm with the Senate Democratic campaign committee. At 3:30 pm he attended a meeting with Massachusetts Farm Bureau and continued his home state politicing by stopping by a reception for the Massachusetts Bankers Association at 6 pm.
Kennedy, who loved dining with friends, had dinner with Senator Stuart Symington at 6:30 pm. He also stopped by the Statler Hotel briefly to attend a reception for the National Association of Real Estate Brokers.
