JFK was in his Senate office this da. At 11:45 am he did an inteview with reporter Simmons for the New Bedford Standard Times. At 2:30 he attended a meeting in Senator Murray’s office with the other Democratic Labor Committee senators to conduct a planning session on upcoming legislative proposals.
At around 6:30 pm he stopped by the Third Annual Congressional Night reception being held at the Elks Lodge at 919 H Street, N. W. and then he went onto the ballroom at the Roger Smith Hotel at 18th and Pennsylvania Avenues where he attended a meeting to discuss the Textile Workers Legislative agenda.
