JFK and Jackie Appear on the Cover of Life Magazine with the caption “Senator Kennedy Goes A-Courting.”

Although the couple look happy and relaxed together, the photo was actually a carefully staged shoot with a photographer crammed onto the front of a small sailboat.

When a friend later asked Jackie about the photo she said, “They just shoved me into that boat long enough to take the picture.
