JFK cabled James Seymour, who was the United States embassy press secretary in London and underling of Ambassador Joseph Kennedy. Seymour cabled Jack back the same day.
JFK sent multiple requests for Seymour to send political pamphlets and other printed material that was not available in the United States. Jack used this reference material to prepare his Harvard senior honors thesis on Britain’s appeasement policy.
