Jack was in Cambridge, Massachusetts and spoke to his mother Rose by phone to coordinate the family’s plans for Jack’s graduation from Harvard on the 20th.
His mother later complained in a letter to Joe, Sr. in London that Jack was irresponsible as usual in getting the details straight and the outing for the family sufficiently organized.
