Class Day
JFK met his family for lunch on Harvard Class Day. He was joined by his mother Rose, sisters Rosemary, Eunice, Kick and brother Bobby. The group had a hurried lunch at the Dutchland restaurant, where his mother later noted in a letter to his father that the waitresses were very attentive to Jack’s dietary issues and sensitive stomach.
Jack seemed very fidgety and concerned also about his stomach issues and insisted to his family that he needed to rejoin his class. After the Class Day program was over, Jack met with Eunice, Kick, and Bobby in the Harvard Yard for tea, while Rose and Rosemary attended a wedding of a family acquaintance.
The day ended with Jack being unable to tell his family the time that Commencement program was to begin the next day.
