Catching
JFJ was in New England Baptist Hospital and one author reports he wrote a letter to Al Custer, his PT officer in the Solomon, catching him up with him on his condition and the news of the men who they served with. He wrote,
Been wanting to write you for some time and to-day Bart Connolly was up and gave me your address. Want to thank you for writing my folks that time – it was much appreciated by them, also for getting married – congratulations….
