Mary J. Hannon was JFK’s maternal grandmother, the wife of the legendary John F. Fitzgerald (aka Honey Fitz) and the mother of Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy. She was born in Acton, Massachusetts on October 31, 1865 and outlived JFK, dying on August 8, 1964 in Dorchester.
