Macaroni was one of the Kennedy family’s ponies ridden by Caroline before and during the White House years. The ponies were mostly kept at Glen Ora, the rented estate in Virginia horse country. However, they were frequently brought to the White House for the children to ride. When in D.C. they were allowed to graze on the White House lawn.
