Stork

Jack and a date attended the Sunday evening festivities at the Stork Club in New York City.

Popular with a younger set and known for the pretty girls who frequented it, the club had a special Sunday night attraction as recalled by Lem Billings,

On Sunday nights they used to have a balloon game. Balloons would drop from the ceiling and you’d all grab them. Some of them contained hundred dollar bills and even one five hundred dollar bill, tickets for free meals at the Stork Club, bottles of champagne, etc.
