Baptism

JFK is baptized at St. Aidan’s Roman Catholic Church in Brookline, Massachusetts. He is given as his first and middle names the name of his maternal grandfather, John Fitzgerald, the former mayor of Boston and United States Congressman.

His godfather is a maternal uncle, who attended in his military uniform, indirectly highlighting the refusal of Joe Kennedy to enter military service.
