Busy
JFK wrote to his father, declaring himself very busy, with a recitation of his sports and his work on the upcoming Smoker and apologies for a scheduling mix-up when he was recently in New York City.
“Things are going pretty well up here, though am very busy. Play football twice a week and swim the other times. In the University handicap championships got second – The (sic) man who beat me having seven seconds which was a bit much. Talked with mother about a week ago and she said there was a mix up over my not phoning the night before. I did not get in to (sic) N.Y. until six thirty and was under the impression that you both were in town with the Ballet. Therefore, I thought I would phone the next night when you both were there. However, I should have phoned the house anyway though and I am sorry I didn’t”
