JFK lived at 1528 Thirty First Street, NW in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington D.C. while starting in the House of Representatives in 1949. He was served by housekeeper Margaret Ambrose and valet George Thomas, but still quickly gained a reputation for living a somewhat scattershot existence. He entertained frequently at this residence, which was dubbed the Hollywood Hotel because of the movie starlets seen coming and going.
